Polyphony
Digital isn’t well known for pumping out new entries in the Gran
Turismo franchise very often, but it looks like they may be hitting the
accelerator on the next entry.
Even though Gran Turismo 6 won’t
take the green flag in December, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi is
already being asked when the series would shift gears to the PS4.
Speaking with Famitsu, Yamauchi said “The PlayStation 4 game which we’ll
likely call GT7 will be done in about a year or two, I think, and I
think the community aspect’s going to be vital there as well.” Yamauchi
also praised the PS4 for the amount of memory made avaliable, calling it
an “unique trait.”
It was only a matter of time before Gran
Turismo made its way to the PlayStation 4, but for it to be happening so
soon is very exciting. With this, and the confirmation that Sony’s
studios are busy at work on triple A titles, it does’t look like Sony is showing any signs of slowing down.
